Job Summary:

Our company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to our team. The Sales Assistant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day sales and administrative tasks The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service: Sales Assistants often interact directly with customers, either in person or over the phone. They assist customers by answering questions, providing information about products or services, and resolving any issues or concerns.
  2. Supporting Sales Efforts: Assisting the sales team in their duties, which could include preparing sales materials, setting up for presentations or demonstrations, and helping with sales campaigns.
  3. Processing Sales Transactions: Handling the administrative aspects of sales, such as processing customer orders, managing transactions, issuing invoices, and maintaining accurate sales records.
  4. Product Knowledge: Developing a good understanding of the products or services offered by the company in order to effectively assist customers and support the sales team.
  5. Inventory Management: Assisting in managing inventory by tracking stock levels, placing orders for new stock, and organizing stock in the store or warehouse.
  6. Maintaining the Sales Environment: Ensuring that the sales area, whether it's a retail floor or an office, is organized, clean, and conducive to a positive customer experience.
  7. Marketing Support: Assisting with marketing efforts, which might include distributing marketing materials, helping with social media presence, or participating in promotional events.
  8. Handling Customer Feedback: Collecting and reporting customer feedback to the sales team or management, which can be crucial for improving products, services, and sales strategies.
  9. Administrative Duties: Performing general administrative tasks like answering phones, managing emails, scheduling appointments, and other clerical duties.
  10. Team Collaboration: Working closely with other team members, often serving as a liaison between the sales team, other departments, and customers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong customer service skills.
